Dogwille started off as a bummer. I was expecting a movie, not televised theater. The entire film takes place on stage with the main street of Dogville drawn out on the floor like an architect's plan.
But as I started watching the movie and got more engrossed, I found out that the story is interesting, the script and Nicole Kidman's acting makes up for the lack of scenery. It'd not be a successful mainstream movie, but it is interesting to observe film-maker's explore a different concept.
